I just saw a screening of this with director Darren Lynn Bousman, and the co-writer Terence Zdunik. I was honestly blown away by the film. The acting/directing/cinematography/art direction/editing were all awesome.
It's not getting a wide release. The 'effin studios don't think there's an audience for it. Its a movie a lot of people will like. Sure its gory, and a rock opera, but it's a well done gory rock opera.
After viewing it, I feel (and confirmed by Bousman) that its a cross between Rocky Horror Picture Show, Blade Runner (in the art direction) and Saw II (the gore).
The cast (including Paris Hilton) did a great job. Well, okay, Paris did OKAY. A lot better than I had expected.
If you wanna see this film and its not playing by you, call your theater and have them call Lionsgate to get a copy. Lionsgate will be happy to send it.
It was even cooler cause I got an autographed Repo! poster, and I gave Bousman an Zdunik my business card. Who knows what'll come of it. No one can say I didn't try.
