Replacment Part Needed: Outer Lens Element

[Cut2muz]

I need to replace our HVX's outer lens element and Panasonic's parts department has no clue. Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

Try asking Spec-Comm, they're an authorized service center and I believe they were the first authorized service center for the HVX.

Don, what did you do to need a new lens. It's a little scary to need a whole new lens rather than a front element. I guess that UV filter is coming out of its pouch.

TSA took it out to inspect it and damaged it. Of course, they don't care one bit.

Pardon my ignorance, but who is TSA?

[THoff]

TSA = Transportation Security Administration (The guys that check the luggage)

You can submit a damage claim here: http://www.tsaclaims.org/forms.htm

I know how you feel Don. I took my DVX to St. Thomas once and they had to dismantle my entire bag. They used a bomb "sniffing" wand to rub all over my camera to check to see if it's a bomb and ended up scratching my LCD.

At least they figured out that I'm not a terrorist.

Don, I will drop you a PM to see if we can get something figured out here.
