Replacing Avid ... And the Winner Is!

I've submitted our proposal for replacing our Avid Xpress DV and the front runner is Vegas, followed by Premiere. Now we have to jump through our version of corporate hoops by meeting with our IT folks, determining the cost, blah, blah. I really like what I've seen in Vegas; although it's going to take awhile to get used to the interface and a different way of editing.

Vegas can be legally installed on multiple machines but remember that you can LEGALLY only use it on ONE at a time. Network rendering is probably what you're referring to which can be distributed over multiple machines which is the only exception to the "only use on one machine at a time" rule.
