replacement lens cover for hpx170?

[Lkorver]

anyone know where to get a "cheap" replacement lens hood cap since I lost mine somehow?

[jdmueller]

I'm in the same boat. Can't find a replacement anywhere. Anyone???

Maybe here....but it won't be cheap:

I think the lens cap from the DVX will fit

DVX lens cap will not fit.

I found it on the panasonic website and ordered it by emailing Anthony Ragland (RaglandA@us.panasonic.com). The part was $23 and shipping was $10. Not too expensive.

Could someone please tell me the part number? I have been unable to find it on Panasonic's list of parts for the HPX170, or for the 150 (I've read they are the same). I can't seem to find anything through Google, either. I really want to buy the Panasonic cap and not some alternative product.

I also emailed Anthony Ragland and he needed the number before I could order it, so I'd really appreciate it if someone happened to know it & could help me out. Thanks!

Anyone? Please? I will love you forever, I just need to know the part number for the HPX170 lens cover (or the HMC150, they're the same). I cannot find it for the life of me.

Found it. VGQ0B04, currently only available through Spec Comm.

Lost mine too.
Have a theory.
Too big to stuff in a pocket.
So you put it down somewhere and forget it.
$59.00 from Panasonic Canada.

Hi, sorry I did not catch this thread earlier.

If anyone else needs it, here's where you can find lens caps on our store:

Lens cap for AG-HPX170 and AG-HMC150
Lens cap for AG-HVX200 / A

We've listed the most frequently replaced parts on the store, but if there's ever anything you need and don't see there, please feel free to eMail or call.

It's true, the lens caps are the most often lost and replaced parts.

Another great option, designed to prevent lost lens caps:

CoverLens

It can easily be rolled up and stashed in a pocket, but it also has straps so you can attach it to the camera handle, tripod leg, etc.... It's a pretty awesome little multi-tool.
