Replacement for my old XHA1?

Sorry if this in the wrong forum. I haven't kept up to date on new cameras for a looong time and I'm looking to replace my old XHA1 with something newer. I mostly use it for greenscreened half-body shots videos that end up on youtube . I'm looking to spend around $1000-$1500, but wouldn't be mad if I could spend less:). Any ideas?

Do you want to stick with camcorders or are you open to mirrorless camera suggestions? Does it need to have XLR inputs? I seem to remember reading that you could pull a cleaner key with an H.265 4k camera than you could with a 1080P RAW camera, but I never tested it myself. The Panasonic GH5 would be a good fit, but it's above your price range and it's not released yet; still the GH4 might be a viable option for you.

I was looking into those but I have no experience with DSLR cameras. Would I need an expensive lens for green screenwork? I'm pretty good at getting a good key later in post. Do they have attachment for XLR inputs or would I have to record sound seperate and sync it in post?
