exporting as quicktime movie out of final cut 5.04

I am using version 2.01 of compressor .... encoding it with best quality 90 minutes 2pass vbr best and am still getting artifacts and pixelation on my dvds... i have tried using compressor markers and that doesn't help either.... you would think with the highest quality setting i wouldn't have this problem

I assume that dvd studio pro wouldn't be my problem since i am just dropping the files into it ?

is there a program that does a better job than compressor .... I am editing concerts and the lights are just not coming out crisp at all .... I gotta have things look better than they do artifacts on dvds for clients just isn't acceptable...

(1) BitVice

(2) Flip4Mac Episode

(3) Sorensen Squeeze

(4) Take it to a PC and use Cinema Craft Encoder.

(5) Pay a DVD authoring house to do a hardware encode

The last one will give the best chances at getting the quality you want, but it won't come cheap by any means. CCE is also very strong, but again not particularily cheap (but can yield results that rival a hardware encoder). Between the rest, meh, everyone's their own critic, so you can Google those or just wait for others to chime in on their favorite. Good luck.

cheers.
