Replacemen bulbs

Rather than pay big bucks for replacement bulb for one of my 5k Cool Lux lights,---went to Home Depot and purchased work light replacement bulb.
That's like 5 bucks compared to 43 or something like that.
Did I do a bad thing?

Only if you mind your color temp being all crazy red.

i'm doing a documentary about a friend who is the circus and some of the shows use really cheap work lights and the color is freaky even if i white balance on them.

i use the warmcards.com and it helps, but it is still a weird color, tons of red.

I think it depends on the kind of lights you get. Some lights you can manage, but some have such unbalanced lamps that there's no way to get rid of the red—it's the only color there.

Cool Lux (also cool) specifies I need FDF lights for my 5k softliights.
Gotta be a reason.
Reason's red.
Got FDF bulbs for 29 CAN each in Toronto.
Good price?
Don't hear much about these lights on forums.
Really like them though.
Anybody else using Cool Lux soft lights.
