Replace clip -> keep old effects ??

Hi,

Is it possible to replace a clip in the timeline with a new clip but still keep the old effects from the original clip?

Say I have a clip in the timeline from a boat with on this clip a 50% resize and a sepia tint.
Now I want to replace the boat-clip with a plane clip. I don't want to rescale and reapply the sepia tint on the plane.
I want fcp to do it in one go.

Possible ?????

Select original clip in timeline, right click, copy
add new clip to timeline, select it, right click, paste attributes

If you only have a one button mouse use control click instead of right click.
