Repainting inside of Arrisoft?

Okay, excuse me if this is completely outrageous, but I think a long time ago, somewhere, I read (and I did a search but couldn't find anything) that if the paint chips from the inside of your soft light, that you should repaint it?

First, is that true? Secondly, if so, what type of paint and how exactly should I go about doing it? I won an Arrisoft 2000w light off ebay and it looks like it could probably use a little paint or something on the inside to get some better output (I'm new to lighting so I may not be using terms correctly). Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks!

Email abeckford@arri.com ask what they might have for you. Specialized paints can be as important as the differences in bulb type. The wrong paint may mess up your color temp, and age prematurely, and yellow or even melt over time. Before you go to home depot and try to find high temp white paint, kind of like what people buy to paint their gas grills with (in black of course) I would attempt going this route. Plain ole' white spray paint is not the answer...

Thanks, I just shot an email to the address. In case I don't get a response, does anyone have any (safe) suggestions? I saw on B&H that they have reflectors for the Arrisoft 2000 for sale, but I wasn't sure if that was exactly what I needed.

Thanks for looking this up.
If you want longevity, I'd go with this. Did you get a response about re-painting from Arri yet ?
