Renting out DVX?

[crazymcnutjob]

Anyone here ever rent out there DVX/HVX/whatever? I'm not going to be using my DVX100a this summer and I thought I'd try to make some money off of it. What are some good places to advertise online? Thanks!

[Greggl]

I'd try either www.breakmycamera.com or www.noonewilltreatmygearwithcare.com

On the other hand, I'm shopping for an underwater housing this summer and might
be interested in working something out for a week to two

Yeah, I'd never trust my equipment to someone else, unless I had insurance on it or something.

Well, his name is crazymcnutjob, so maybe he's not concerned.

I appreciate you guys being so direct.

Actually I have rented my cam out before, so I'm familiar with contracts and down payments, however, that was with people I trusted, not strangers. I'm not crazy enough to not know there is a risk involved, but I plan to offset that with sufficient (and required) down payments. I was just wondering if anyone here knew any sites that I could advertise it on.

Maybe craigslist.org would work? I'm not really sure.

I only rent my cam out if I go with it -- I actually turned down a pretty large offer today for rental of my HVX for 4 weeks. I just can't let that baby outta my sight right now, though I'm always happy to go along and operate. Ya know?

Yeah, I think this is the way to go. Plus they would get your experience attached with it.
