Recently I posted RE: possibly renting out my Kessler Crane in the future. I also spoke with another DVXuser about possibly trading rentals. His Letus for my Crane at some point.

So, has it ever been attempted, folks offering up various equipment for "Rental Swaps." I'm sure we could round up quite a few trusted, respectable and reliable individuals with a ton of stuff.

Obviously everyone would be subjected to background, drugs and A.I.D.S testing but hey, I think it's a good idea. We could work out general agreeable guidelines like monetary compensation to balance trades. Oh well, just a thought.

Let the thinktank begin. Of course I don't want to take away from our hallowed businesses and rental houses here in the L.A. area but if you're in the 310, 213, 818, 714 and what ever other area codes we have out here, check in with your 2 cents. Hmmm, what can you rent with 2 cents.?

Guess nobodies interest....heavy sigh.

I think the traffic is slow today...

Actually, I think thats a pretty good idea, but how would you handle insurance? You get that figured out and I think you'd be onto something. I know I have an extra DVX I wouldn't mind renting out if I could get it insured...

See, this could work out nationally. I know there's a project I'll be working on over the next few years and I can't always fly my stuff everywhere.

The only problem is that I've seen how people treat rental gear. I trust a lot of the people in this community, but it only takes one person to screw it up.

Dude, if you'd pitched the secret handshake in the first place than I would have signed up in a heartbeat.

We will also need a secret handshake to identify one another BEFORE revealing the real secret handshake.

I'm more interested along the lines of bringing out my equipment to help DVXUsers who end up in Atlanta on projects (and of course local DVXUsers). Shipping my stuff gets a bit iffy.
