Rental houses in SD?

I needed to get some things for an upcoming short. I was for sure going to get a nice mic set up and I still thinking about the Mini 35 (Not sure yet). Does anyone know any good rental houses, or even camera stores in the SD area? I dont feel like making a 2 hour drive down to EVS, but If I have to, I guess I will. Anyway, much appreciation.

Hey, Nick. There's still plenty of equipment down at Stage & Lighting (University Avenue). I forget her name but the lady who runs the place gave us a smoking deal, and threw in a ton of extra stuff on the house. They're moving away from film rentals so get there soon to score. Good luck.

Are you talking about 3D Sound and Lighting, or San Diego Stage and Lighting? I called info, and they told me that both these places were on University.

Hi Nick, just to let you know, we ship any rental, usually for less than the price of gas ;D I ship to Sanfran, SD, and even to Orange County all the time. The convenience of having the rental gear delivered has been a great benefit, especially when it comes to small kits like wireless audio. :)
