Renders look like half the frame rate?

I'm using Vegas 8.0 Pro and lately it seems like nothing I render is smooth anymore. I keep checking and re-checking the frame rates and pull-down of my project files and render settings but I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Shooting 24pA footage on a dvx100 should the pull-down be none (progressive) or lower-field? I've tried 30p footage and 24p footage and it does the same thing. Everything looks uniformly choppy. Not erratic at all.

Has anyone experienced this problem? I'm sure it's just a simple change of setting.

Thanks!

To edit, use an NTSC DV 24p timeline, and don't change anything.

How are you rendering? What format, codec, settings?

Yeah I make sure not to change anything.

It's the mainconcept .mp4 codec. I let it use the source frame rate and everything. I used to get no problems with it. Just recently it's been choppy.

Thanks for sticking around on this forum and helping the users:beer:
