I just tried the Video for Windows (*.avi) format but as I thought that didn't work.

Also, now I get this error when I try to render a Raylight MXF File (*.mxf)?!

You can't render MXF files from Vegas. Read the Raylight tutorial on authoring P2 Cards with P2 Maker.

ok, just read it... I will wait for this render for my Treo to end, then render an .avi using the specified settings:

Set Raylight Blue before starting the export.

* For file type select Microsoft AVI and Custom Template
* For frame size, select HDV 1920 x 1080
* For frame rate select 23.976
* For field order, select None (progressive scan)
* For Pixel aspect ratio, set to 1.0
* For Video format, select DVFilm Raylight
* For Interleave, select every .250 seconds
* Select "Create an OpenDML... file"
* In the Audio tab, select 48000 Hz sample rate, 16-bit, stereo

then I will drop the .avi into P2 maker and follow those instructions...

then connect the HVX via USB and set the camera USB DEVICE and transfer... turn off and back on... then I should see my first 1080p short in 1080p... :D

I have a splitting headache but I can't wait to see this now :D

I allready did all prior steps as explained in the tutorial but I have been stuck for a while. I've tried to troubleshoot for a while now, following the directions, and I keep getting an error when I try to copy the files over to the camera when in USB Device...

.....I had the same exact error message when i wanted to copy from the computer to the camera to the P2 card.

I got fed up and just bought a cheap $20 PCMCIA drive and had no problems since.

must be cause I plugged on the top of the case?!? weird... I'll try directly to the MoBo through the I/O

EDIT: I tried right on the back but no luck, same error... and the board is brand new, no need to check if it is 2.0 cause there is no chance it isn't...

?

And you installed the Panasonic P2 USB drivers with the camera connected?
