Rendering question

Does anyone know of a way in Premiere 2.0 that will allow me to render just one small section in my timeline and not the whole comp?

I'm wanting to show a friend a specific clip; but didn't know if you can do this.

I think if you hit the alt key and the bracket bars together you will indeed set the render area.
