Rendering question (probably simple)

I apologize in advance, this is probably an insult to all FCP users, but I am extremely new. I have uploaded my P2 footage from my HVX202 and it is all successfully in FCP. However I cannot preview the footage in either of my preview screens. The middle one remains black, while the other one says 'Unrendered'. I am in NZ (PAL), and shot in 576i/25p mode if that makes any difference.
