Rendering problem

Let me preface this by saying that my experience level with Vegas and video in general is limited. I am pretty new to this. Picked it up as a hobby six months ago and got hooked.
I shot some vacation video with my SR12 and HMC150, edited in timeline and came up with about 14 mins of video. Originally, near the end of the time line, while previewing, the video preview would "stick" at a transition point of one clip in the last 30 seconds of the project. The audio continues on its merry way, but the video shutters and acts as if it is in a millisecond loop. I removed suspected problem files completely, replaced (or sometimes just left out) and the problem would occur in other place, almost always near end of project but at no common point on timeline. Closed and reopened Vegas 8.0 (and upgraded 8.1) watched entire project run smoothly but same problem would reoccur during the render process (both .mov and wmv).
I have a new quad core Dell, have tried this with and without "multicam editing" enabled, basic overlap transitions and a few clips slowed down for slo-mo.
Just wondering if there is something basic that I am missing or possible suggestions for trouble shooting.

Thanks in advance,
Doug

It is hard to say without seeing the actual problem, but have you tried rendering the project in 3 chunks (first part with no problems, time around transition, time after transition), then cutting those together?

Frosh,

Thanks for the advice. After being out of town for several days, I returned and removed end of project as you suggested and rendered. That worked fine, problem gone. Added the half dozen clips back and problem returned. Changed the one slo- mo clip back to regular rate, re-rendered and still had problem. Re-rendered again and problem disapeared. Not sure what the final answer is, but without the slo-mo clip, I have one smooth rendered WMV and am done with this project.

Take Care,
Doug

There have been problems with Vegas rendering footage from the 150 which was made into slo-mo. The level of support of 150 footage is not complete.
