rendering playback audio

Everytime I make a change in my timeline, it seems like I am getting a red render bar for only a small section of an audio clip. I render using the RENDER for PLAYBACK option then I save the project and everything is cool but if I make a change in the timeline maybe not even on that track, I get the red render bar....kinda weird!
 
Is what sample rate and format is your audio? ( If it doesn't match your sequence audio settings then every change will require a render. Best if you can convert to the required format from the start. An example is if you have CD track at 44.1k and sequence is set to 48k
 
yea but all the other audio clips are fine. The one in question is fine too it just has a small red render bar over the first maybe 5 seconds of the clip every time! Not sure why that is.
