Up until today, everything I have ever rendered out (to edit with) from vegas was an AVI since it's "lossless." Today I did a little experiment where i tried rendering out as .mov and I swear i'm never going back to AVI for editing. I did a side-by-side quality comparison and the MOV looks infinately better. *However* for a 20 second clip, the .mov and avi are both 1.2 Gigs. I know these are insane numbers to edit with.. maybe ive been going about rendering out completley wrong. Can anyone help me find a good render codec to edit with that gives me the quality of the MOV but doesnt take up insane amounts of storage? Thanks!
