Rendering out to MPEG2

I've got a big issue that I need to solve before the end of this weekend.

I have a video that I want to burn to DVD. Recently I upgraded from Vegas 7 to 8 and so far I haven't had any complaints about it except this.

I want to render out an MPEG 2 in the DVD Architect template for 24p widescreen. And when I want to render out, that message appears and I can't render out my video so I can put it into DVD Architect.

I didn't have this problem in version 7..so I dont understand why this is happening in version 8.

Any ideas?

Re-install Vegas.

It might help. Uninstall it completely, and then reinstall it.

Ok..

I uninstalled it..then reinstalled it on my system. I still have this issue...

Now when I wanna take advantage of the 32bpc from version 8..and then get it onto DVD..I have to render out an .avi file..then go back to Version 7 that I reinstalled back on the machine and render out an MPEG-2 file for DVD...doubling the amount of unnecessary rendering..

The problem might be because you have Vegas 7 installed... It is obviously a codec collision issue...

I didn't have Vegas 7 when I tried this the first time around, when I made the post. Then I put it back on the computer later on.
