Rendering for youtube

I'm rendering my first trailer from the Zombie film (Vegas Pro 12) and using both Vimeo and Youtube as the host to place on Face Book, Website and Emails. I have in the past used WMV but wanted to know is there a better option for better quality? Thanks

I use Video4YouTube. It's a free download from the folks who make Vegasaur and renders an mp4 file that looks great on YouTube.

I use ProRes when I can, I saw a comparison once which showed that it delivers the best results. On Windows, you could use DNxHD with similar results, I would assume. They are both huge files, though, so depending on the length of your program and your Internet connection, it might not be feasible.

If you don't want to deal with the huge file sizes, MP4.
