Rendering error; looks like an interlace problem.

I posted this in the 2.35:1 topic, but I don't think the crop matter has anything to do with the problem so I decided to address it in its own topic for anyone else with a similar problem.

So, I've been using the following settings and then I use Event Pan/Crop and Match Output Aspect. It works great in editing.

But then I render it (as .mov or .avi) and get this ugly ole' error:

Since field order has been set to progressive, I don't understand what's going wrong. And again, it all looks fine during editing. It's only when rendered does this interlace issue arise.

I haven't rendered to MPEG and burned to DVD yet to see what happens then. I did render to tape and got the same problem, though. I hope there's gonna be an easy solution to this...anyone know what I've obviously done wrong?

You don't provide a "de-interlacing method". You ask Vegas to treat your video as progressive, but at the same time you are telling it to use "none" de-interlacing methods. Please select "interpolate" from the menu in the project properties dialog.

Ah...I seem to recall months ago on this forum reading that you choose 'none,' if you shoot 24p. That user may have been wrong, or maybe my memory is failing me. Regardless, I will try that as soon as I get home. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

So you actually shot this in 23.976 *progressive*, or you simply try to tell Vegas to treat your interlaced footage as progressive? Is progressive it comes out of the camera? Or does it require any pulldown removal?
