Rendering as 4:3 without letterbox

I shot in letterbox mode and need a full resolution, uncompressed file, in 4:3 without the bars. Also need a full res, uncompressed 16x9 version. I did a search, but found nothing. Anyone know how I can do it easily?

Thanks.

Ugh. First, never EVER shoot in letter box again. All it does is add bars that you can't remove later ... you always have more control in post to add the bars after the fact.

Next, the only way you're going to get 4:3 now WITHOUT the bars is to zoom in with the pan/crop tool. Yes, you're going to lose information on the sides of the frame, no different than when movies go pan & scan with their widescreen films to make standard/full frame DVD's. If you have important stuff on the sides in some shots, then you can pan & scan manually, panning the frame as you needed it left & right.

Will it be full resolution as in like what you originally shot? Nope. You'll be zooming in to the footage. But to render out a 720x480 uncompressed AVI, just do a search in the help for RENDER or AVI's.

To do a 16x9 version, then go back to the properties, change it to one of the widescreen options (depending on frame rate you shot it in), and then go to pan/crop on the file while it's on the timeline, open up the pan/crop, right click on it, and select match project aspect ratio. BAM! Widescreen, and it should cut out the blackbars perfectly as it'll default to the center of the frame.

Hope that helps without spoon feeding it too much.
