Hey everyone. I'm totally stuck again. I shot some video on a dvx100a in 24p. i captured all my footage to vegas and set my project properties for it. Now, after editing all my footage in my timeline I go to render and every way i try to render it my clips look dark and red!. i edit on a pc and it looks great. i sent a rendered clip to my mac and it looks great there too. i burn a dvd (toast titanium) and watch it on my hd tv and its looks nasty. even sd dvds look good on my hd tv. what am i doing wrong? pleeeease help.

Well, you have to remember that TV screens and computer screens are very different things and do not have the same color and brightness response.

When you're editing, you need to be able to preview on a TV screen (and even better, a calibrated NTSC studio monitor) in order to see what it will look like when you play it on DVD.

Yea thats what I thought. I have a s-video out on my video card so I will prob just run that to a television. I know thats not an ideal way to run it but...u know. Thanx David, I started my journey thru Vegas with a tutorial of yours I found on youtube! :)

ok so now i have a standard def 4:3 television hooked up to the s-video on my video card. i got the footage to look good on that tv but i make a dvd and play it on my big hd tv and it looks kinda green. why!!? isnt there a way to make sure it will look good on whatever its being played on? and no i cant afford a pro monitor.
