renderindicators in timeline

i am working on a hdv project.
now, when i am changing attributes to clips in the timeline, i get the red renderline popping up. but i guess this is just the way it is...
BUT, after i have rendered the clips i have changed, a new red renderline appears on another clip that i havent changed at all. so, i have to render again... and this is annoying, especially if that clip is a long clip...
is this normal?

just click the timeline away from any files and on your keyboard say apple R and that will render everything in your timeline. But keep in mind whenever something is moved youll have to render.
