rendered allready captured footage problem

I set my capture preset to remove the 2:3:3:2 advanced pulldown and edit in a 23.8 fps timeline, but whenever i drag footage or edit it on the timeline, i have to render it. what did i do wrong? i tried switching my timeline to 24 fps also, no dice.

hmmm -- one, are you sure you shot in 24pa?

2 when you reset your sequence settings you need to open a new sequence for those changes to take effect.

Dbl check to see what the capture information says in the browser for the captured clip and then also what your sequence settings are for the active sequence.

thanks for some reason i had to delete the sequence and just rbing it over to a new one. weird.
