Render Vegas or?

I will be editing my feature film on Vegas 8. When I'm ready to output I was wondering is Vegas good enough to give you the quality that you shot your film in or would I be better off giving the final edited footage to someone else that has a different and more professional system to render and out put it on Blue Ray? I need the film at its best visual possible.

"best" is very elusive. Can Vegas (actually DVDA) produce very good quality bluray suitable for for a feature. Yes. Been there, done that. Can you obtain a better product using a high-end product? Yes. Do you have the money to do so?

High end BluRay and DVD authoring software costs in the tens of thousands of dollars. And the services to use that equipment don't come cheap. But if you need same level of quality that the large studios do, then that is the path. But it seems silly to go that route if you shot the movie on a consumer or prosumer level camera.

It all depends on your needs and your wallet.
