Render Settings in Sony Vegas

I have Vegas 7 and I'm curious to know some of the custom settings many of you use to get high quality rendered to put on web sites. Some web sites I visit have videos that are crystal clear and loaded up into flash video players.

While mine look okay, they're not nearly as clear after they've been rendered in vegas and then sent up into a flash player.

For example, I just did a 10 minute video clip in 60i and it measured out to 2GB. After rendering, it came down to about 239 MB, which is fine because the flash video service provider I use requires the max to be no more than 300MB.

I used these settings to render that video:

Windows Media Video (WMV)

Audio: 96 Kbps, 44,100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo.
Video: 30 fps, 640x480, WMV V9 Compression.

Thank you!

Question.

I am having problems rendering out any HD format. It will get almost 50% COMPLETE then an error will occur or Vegas (7) will just crash. I read Eugenia's blog on how to render Hd footage for the web. And noted the # of threads. I reduced it to 1 and still have problems.

Any clues??
Thanks for the help.

Well, something else is the culprit then. A transition, a third party plugin. Check where the crash happens and see what's special in that scene.
