Render settings for the Iphone???

I have tried a ton of different options and none of them seem to work? I’m away from my computer right now so I can’t post all the settings I have tired but I can tomorrow.

Also let me say, I know there are free programs that will supposedly convert my movies so they play on the Ipone but I want to do it in Sony Vegas so I have more control over the settings.

I also know of the feature in Itunes that supposedly will convert the movies so it will play on the Iphone. But so far it never works either. It will play on my computer but won’t show up on my Iphone.

Lastly I noticed if I play my movies off youtube and I have a LAN connection the quality is very good. That’s what I want! But saved in my phone’s memory. Some of the settings I tried the move looked horrible on my computer and still wouldn’t play on the iphone..

Thanks in advance.

I finally got around trying to convert my videos so they will play on my damn Iphone with success.

I gave up trying to use Vegas so for anyone interested this is how I did it.

1) Download handbrake (I got version 0.9.4)
2) Click the setting (on right) "iphone & ipod touch"
3) Set your source and destination files
4) Hit start
5) Drag the new file into itunes and sync

This worked with WMV and MP4 files. And I got to say the moves look pretty damn good for being on an iphone.

I personally think handbrake is where it's at as long as you feed it something awesome to begin with, heh. But you should easily be able to render out MP4s straight from Vegas that play on the iPhone no problem (use baseline), I know have have many times. Ideal size for the older iPhones is 320x240 I believe, but don't quote me on that one.

Yeah, in Vegas 9 at least there is even a Mainconcept template for rendering for iPods. I used that as a base when putting a few shorts on my iphone, and with a little tweaking it worked fine.
