Render Sequence to 720p

Hi

I'm using PP CS3 and i want the following accomplished:

1) Render my movie (sequence) to 720p
2) Render my movie (sequence) for SD DVD

What options should i use?

Pls advise.

Assuming you are starting with a properly set up 720p project.

Export Movie >avi
or Export >Media Encoder>QT (settings same as your 720p project settings)

For SD you need to down rez your 720p project. Import it into a SD Project , nest the timeline and scale it to suit your self. Then export >DVD (Export to Encore)

Yes, my project is setup as 720p.

Now, i did notice that within the "Keyframe & Rendering" tab/section, Use Project Settings has been checked. However, when i go to the "Video" tab/section, there is a drop-down list consisting of several codecs/compression formats. What should i select there, assuming i am rendering to QT?

I use YUV 24bit and uncompressed.

My work is for broadcast TV so I maintain highest possible quality and it suits my workflow with my post house.

Trick about encoding etc is to work backwards from the end result required. eg broadcast tv, internet, youtube, desktop player, dvd etc.... These determine the setting required.
