Need to insert 10 seconds of applause to match clapping hands.
Is it possible to do this without re-rendering the entire project?
Think I've done this before but can't recall the process.
Grateful for any help.
DVD completed and while viewing an event segment more than an hour long I discover 10 seconds of silence, but the crowd is applauding, flapping their hands silently.
My question is can I add appluse to cover the clapping, re-render only that ten second segment and update the .avi.
Otherwise I'm faced with an 11 hour render to cover 10 seconds of silence.
I feel badly about letting it go with this flaw.
I think I've don't this on long format projects before, but I can't recall how.
But, you can probably render only the audio and replace it in DVD Architect.
BTW, rendering according to recommendation for DVD -- using the DVD Architect templates under MPEG-2 and then rendering the audio separately as AC-3 or PCM (.wav) would have saved you a lot of time here. Not sure if the SmartRender will work in your DVDA project if you're switching out the audio, and you're looking at re-rendering the whole thing when the DVD is prepared.
Render them separately, and you save tons of time in the DVD preparation phase.
Audio file rendered and am trying to add it to the timeline in DVD-A. Darned if I can find a way, try as I may. Must be overlooking the obvious.
Maybe if I drop something on the keyboard?
In DVDA, you go into your movie file (you can do that with the drop-down menu at the top, or by clicking on it in the tree on the left, or by double-clicking it in the menu screen), then go into "Track Media" under Media Properties, and choose the new rendered file for Audio 1.
Hopefully, you rendered it to be exactly the same area of the timeline as the .avi.
