Render Problems

Hi,
When I want to render my projects, why does the quality of my movies, with full frames uncompressed gets go bad? Is this normal?
The only codec I can use without losing quality is Xvid, but it has another problem: When I want to open it again in vegas, that file with the codec Xvid, isn't recongnised by Vegas :( !!

Space in disk is not a problem for me :)

w8 for your help,
Ricardo Lagido

(sorry if my english is too bad, I'm not english)

Normal? No. Exactly HOW are you rendering? What format are you choosing? What preset are you choosing?

In the "project" tab, i chose best. In the "video" tab:

Frame Size: 800/600
Field Order: None ---- could you tell me what this is?
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 0,9091
Video Format: Uncompressed
Interleave every (seconds): 2.50 ---- could you tell me what this is?
Interleave every frame: No ---- could you tell me what this is?
Render Alpha Channel: Yes
Create an OpenMDL: Yes

waiting for your great help! :P

What format are you rendering to? Why are you picking a frame size of 800x600 (that's neither NTSC or PAL) Standard DV has a field order of "Lower Field First". Progressive Scan has a field order of "None".

I'm guessing the "800x600" is causing a lot of your problems.

Unless he's thinking that he wants to render this for full screen monitor viewing via web, where a lot of people are still at 800x600 res ... and even still you're right ... it could be screwy on him.

Considering you're taking 720x480 and forcing it to 800x600 - yes, that will cause things to be scaled and make things look worse. Why force the odd size? Just leave it at 720x480.
