Having a heck of a time rendering a 15 minute project.
Mostly photos with video clips and animated BG.
Have dropped threads to 1 from 4 and cut dynamic ram settnig back to zero.
Am defraging drive now.
An help much appreciated.
it is higher resolution than you've ever rendered?
did you take a look at what the performance tab on the Task Manager has to say about your resources? (Ctrl+Alt+Del)? I'd be curious... the processing shouldn't cause a crash though... it would just take longer but perhaps if you are fully loading RAM you might cause a crash...
no clue really just curious to find out what it might be...
have you had your computer on for days? if so try leaving it off for an hour or two then get back on it...
If you've done panning, cropping, etc., on the photos, your render time will increase according to how much of it you have.
I made the mistake one time of doing a photo montage where, instead of scanning each photo individually, I scanned several at once and then zoomed in on the photo I wanted to use at that particular moment. Render times were b-r-u-t-a-l.
I did too but I kinda liked the fact that I could pan from one photo to the other as a transition... renders for a 12min montage took 1hs, it was SD and I was rendering on a 2.2GHz AMD... all pictures were cropped too of course and about 75% of them had the single Color Corrector... they were old faded pics...
Also if the rez of the scans is far from the output that would mean extra processing for the down-rez'ing right?
