render files vs. master clips...

Hello all. Here's something I couldn't find addressed in the forum. What to do when you want to keep the rendered files and ditch the master clips?

In my case, I have 1.5 hrs of interview footage that needed to be color corrected because I messed up (rapid change of lighting conditions and locale, plus my inexperience=sucky white balance). After color correction I'd love to ditch the uncorrected clips (master) and keep only the rendered files. I'm not out of hard drive space (Lacie 250g), but I'd love to free up what I can for a few other mini projects.

Cheers,
Darin

just render the project, and export it as a full res DV AVI file and save it, and delete the original files.. you have those on tape anyway if you ever need to recapture.

Thanks. I'm going to "print to video" the corrected footage over two tapes as well (for archival purposes).

Cheers,
