Render file location

The Final Cut Pro icon in my Applications folder is shown as being 249.19 GB. If I Control click on it, I can see the contents, In Contents/MacOS/Render Files, there is a long list of folders of various projects one of them is almost 72 GB. If I copy them to another HD (probably a RAID), 1) what problems will I have if I try to open any of these projects, and how do I reconnect them, and 2) how do I set FCP to make these render files on the attached 6TB RAID, and not on the small 500 GB HD with the Applications folder?

In this list of folders with various project names, is one titled Constant Frames. That is not a title I have used. Does anyone know what this is?

Thanks,

Bill

1) Simply tell the RECONNECT window to search a single location and set that single location to where you copied the renders.
2) In the SYSTEM SETTINGS, that is where you set the CAPTURE SCRATCH and RENDER locations

If you start a project and do not set a capture scratch or render location, this bug of putting it into your application will occur.

Don't forget that you should delete all the old render files from old projects you don't need any more. You can always re-render them if you need to go back. Otherwise your just wasting drive space for no good reason.
