Render As..? for DVD

Whats the most common format for rendering media in Vegas for DVD..the disks I have are 120 minutes 4.2G and I only have about an hour of video but its not letting me make the DVD in DVD architect because the space use more than the disk size allows..I rendered it as MPEG1 or 2..and once as MOV..but it always shows that its too large..can I have some settings incorrect..or is there some other format I should be rendering as that saves space..please help..with any format, will I ever really be able to get the full use of a 120 min disk or is it really determined by the 4.2G size and not the actual time lenght of the disk?

In VEGAS, if it's a 24p file, choose Main Concept MPEG2 and go down to the TEMPLATE dropdown menu and use the DVD ARCHITECHT 24P NTSC (WIDESCREEN if your footage is 16x9). If it's not 24p, do the same, except select the template for DVD ARCHITECT NTSC Video Stream (again, choose widescreen if your footage is 16x9). You might also want to check your bitrate by clicking CUSTOM, then go to the VIDEO tab. But if you only have 1 hour worth of video, the default shouldn't exceed your DVD disc space.

When that's done, bring it into DVD Architect.

Hope this helps.
