Render and Export

This could be a dumb question, but I can't find an answer.

Do I have to render files in Premiere Pro 2.0 before I export?

I'm not sure how the internals of the program work, and if in the exporting process it just snips from the master files and renders graphics?

I always render when I export but just want to know if I am taking one unneccisary step, as Premiere does such a good job of previewing unrendered files.

No, rendering is included in the exporting process. If you do render the files before export, the export will be faster, but you also have to wait for the render to complete before exporting. So no, just go ahead and export without rendering if that's what you are asking.
