Hey,

Renaissance is this week in theaters in France.

Renaissance is the last french full 3D movie but the first one with this B&W look.
When I looked at the trailers, I thought to Miller. The action takes place in a futuristic paris in 2054.

It looks very promising and very good. Can't wait till wednesday.

Miramax bought it for USA. Renaissance will be on your screens this summer. Daniel Craig will do the main character voice.

It's a cartoon ?

Yes. (You can have a look at : http://www.renaissance-lefilm.com/videos/renaissance_vf_fa1_big.mp4)

(All characters were motion-captured first.)

The pictures and animation are incredible but the story is hum..hum... deja-vu, weak, boring : in one word : a shame. On dvxuser, may be "poo-poo" is better !! :)

This makes me question why "Sin City" wasn't done as an animation.
It would've been a much better "Sin City" if he or someone else did it like that... it'd be a truly faithful screen adaptation.

I share your opinion.

(If you like Sin City graphic art, you'll like Renaissance 2054)

I actually preferred the way he did it...but then I'm not a fan of comic books...er...I mean, graphic novels.

Since when did drawings become novels?

If Sin City was done as animation that would've defeated the whole purpose of what Rodriguez was trying to accomplish.
