Removing some sort of spacer tube from Century Optics 75mm wide angle lens

I have a 75mm wide angle converter I want to put on a 72mm threaded lens as a pressure fit. However, the internal of the barrel is 65mm.

I suspect there's a 10mm spacer here but not sure how to remove it. Help? Thanks.
