Hey folks,
So I took over the task of cleaning up this feature doc. It appears that they shot a great majority of the footage years ago on a DVX in 24P. They tell me that they did not shoot in 24PA, but the footage appears interlaced to all hell in the 29.97 edit sequence I was given to work off of. So perhaps they really shot 24pa and I need to remove the pulldown, but now that I'm on mountain lion cinema tools does not work (but that's another story).
So theoretically I can go on an older OS, batch reverse telecine to remove the pulldown on the original footage, and then copy and paste the edit into a 23.98 sequence and I'll be ok?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help solve this headache. It's been years since I've even bothered with DV tape!
