Removing line buzz

Is there a simple way to remove line buzz from audio? Not sure what caused it but some takes have a line buzz. I know you can use a comb filter for this - but is there a simpler (????) way to do this with tools that would be in an NLE?

By "...line buzz..." I am assuming that you are referring to a mains frequency related problem. In North America this would be at 60 Hz and its harmonics (120 Hz, 180 Hz, 240 Hz, etc). It might be easier to use a DAW as opposed to a NLE as the audio tool set is typically more powerful in a DAW.

I echo the above statement. Some EQ's have a preset with a very narrow but large cut at 60Hz, a smaller cut at 120Hz, and so on. Not that a preset will help you, but it give you an idea of where to start.

Elemental Audio's Eqium comes to mind, but I believe they have stopped selling it.

They sold their plugs to some company known as Roger Nichols Digital (I think). The prices are now pretty expensive, the RND company looks sketchy, etc. I always thought Elemental Audio made some great plugs for great prices -- now they are expensive.

Yeah, Elemental Audio had a really good sale on their plugs a couple of months back and I had to pass at the time due to other priorities. I'm sorry now.:(
