Removing dust from anamorphic lens

Can anyone recommend an easy way to clean the dust from the inside of panasonics anamorphic adaptor? Mines starting to look like a snow storm.

How did the dust get into the adapter in the first place? I have been using the LA7200 for about 18 months now and haven't experienced any internal dust issues.

I think you might need to consider a partial disassemble to really tackle the job. You can certainly try compressed air (and I would try that first) but I don't think you will have too much luck with that route. I would also do a search both here and in general to see if anyone else has had a similar problem and found a simple solution.

Good luck and if you do try to do it yourself, be careful with the glass!

STAY AWAY FROM COMPRESSED AIR!
Compressed air tends to have liquids that shoot out randomly and can possible do harm to coatings on the lens.
Try using an air blower brush of this type to get to the dust.
I wouldn't recommend disassembly either. I thought the lens was sealed somehow to prevent dust from getting into the internal portion of the lens. You may need to send it to Pany for repairs.

Hmmm, well it was dusty when I got it, so I returned it to Pany and they cleaned it for me for free. But it's been slowly accumulating since then. If I can't find a safe and easy DIY fix, I think I'll get it done professionally. Dam!

I've removed the screws on the back and used a lens brush/blower to clean the inside. It's rather easy and I have had no problems doing so.

I always found a bike pump useful to kill dust bunnies. Make sure its a dry type.

actually, that's not a bad idea either - I mean an old airbrush not an air brush... if you know what I mean. The tool of choice for 70's and 80's advertising artwork of woman with full lips, and even fuller bossoms.
