Remote Viewing of Camera & Mix Via Internet

Looking for the best way to have a client monitor a location interview shoot from a remote location via internet.

Using a F3 and external mixer feeding back to camera. So HDSI, SDI, HDMI and Analog Composite are available outputs. Hoping to find something that can use embedded audio. If not a split feed is possible using analog composite and stereo analog audio.

Will only have a laptop on location with USB 2 or FW800 ports available for a capture device. This is a MacBook Pro 13. Would consider upgrading to a newer MacBook with thunderbolt, if a USB 3 device could be used via an adapter.

This is just monitoring quality video and audio. HD is not required. SD is fine.

Link to internet via 4G USB cellular modem.

Here is the kicker. Client prefers an off the rack approach like something that could be accessed via iChat, Skype or some other hosted front end service like go2meeting, slingbox, fuze. Missing any? Not all of those services can work with external devices.

Eventually we probably will adopt a solution like wirecast and custom code a video streaming web page. But that is not something I could get rolling quickly. So things like Brightcove are out.

Ideas?

This is probably too late to help you, but I'm curious what you ended up doing. I made it work via Skype with a client just recently during a test. The actual shoot is Tuesday. Basically I just went firewire out and the camera came up as a video option in skype settings. However, audio did not. The solution was using a cable (1/8"?) from the headphone jack to the mic input at the computer (G5 Tower). Sync was off a little with picture and audio. Would love a better solution. I'm going to try using my slingbox with a component video and analog (RCA) audio set up. Just not sure then what I'll tell the client to help them set up. I think skype or iChat is going to work best since video and audio can go through the firewire with iChat, maybe that's better.
