Remote trigger cable for alexa/amira

Need urgent help with this:

Does anybody know where to purchase the 3-pin Fischer cable WITH THE TRIGGER BUTTON (like on the photo) to start and stop the recording function of the Amira/Alexa camera? I do not want to purchase the various grips that have this button...
Also, does somebody have the wiring SCHEMATICS to DIY one?

Thanks!

It seems there is no data on the web about remote on/off trigger cables for Alexa/Amira...
A Fischer 3-pin male connector on one side and a trigger button (e.g. Switchcraft momentary pushbutton) on the other side should work fine. Here is Arri's diagram for the RS wiring:

I am surprised that a cable of this type is not widely available...

Thanks for the info, we use the WCU-4 to trigger the Alexa but this might come in quite handy as well.

PS: A few weeks back I saw demo for the Amira and they had a handle mounted trigger which was a aftermarket product (I think) but maybe ARRI can clarify.

When I was at AbelCine we made such a product. Don't know if they still do but it's worth the phone call. Very simple to whip up at whatever cable length you want.

This is something I've been researching for some time. A question that I have is how the actual triggering commences. My assumption is that the R/S pin is brought either to ground or positive voltage but I'd rather not trial and error that on a camera and risk burning something up. While we're here, I know running an accessory such as a monitor powered from the R/S port on the 435s would cause a ground fault (because the BNC video feed was tied into ground). Anybody know if the Alexa, Amira, Mini, etc have the same issue?

Hi all,

Does anybody know if the Alexa Mini has the 3 pin port to accept these remote cables? I'm preparing our rented kit - including a shoulder-mount/handgrip with trigger - for a Monday shoot and can't for the life of me figure out where to plug the lemo cable in. Rental place is closed over the weekend so I can't just call them to find out.

Cheers,
John.
