Remote follow focus

Will someone give me some ideas as to what kind of features I should be looking for in a remote follow focus? I'm trying to find out more information about so that if the time comes, I'm well informed about purchasing one. I've read something about the RedRockMicro remote follow focus; however, I have not read any user reviews on the device. I just saw this one on youtube.

Any suggestions and opinions are appreciated.

NAB is in a couple weeks so we will get more info soon. I heard theres alot of sweet motor follow focus's coming out on the market.

Ive been eyeing VLAD's engineering and cant wait to see his revisions. Heres the thread on his product. Maybe he can chime in on his progress. Im hoping to see a hand grip controller for these units that way i can have two hands on grips at all times

One issue I see with the Redrock's remote with an iPod or iPhone is that, what if apple change the form factor what then? Will the new iPhone or iPod fit the Redrock's unit? It looks nifty but is it practical?

ipods and iphones are a dime a dozen now. plus they are built like tanks. i wouldnt worry.

i like the look of using an ipod or iphone but i prefer something like VLAD's controller with the ability to use a hand grip version. i want fast access. i think the iphone system would be slower but who knows , i havent used it
 
My worry is that if Apple change the shape of the iPod or iPhone and it does not fit the Redrock's enclosure anymore, what then? I saw that happened to iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4.
