Some of you guys here might remember my Megatest a year ago, when we took on the task to shoot a 9-day bikerace with several cams and formats and edit web clips, broadcasts and festival films in FCPX under tough deadlines and circumstances.
Here are the two original links:

Well, this year it will be easier and maybe less interesting, because FCPX, as we know now, works just fine for these projects. We will blog nevertheless ;-) Some fresh-users might learn from it.

Well, that's no fun...I suggest you challenge yourself by trying it with [drumroll, please]....WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER!

Like Gary, I think you need to change it up to make it more interesting. Unlike Gary, I think you can stick with FCP-x, but you need to change the venu or subject.

Have you considered the Iditarod? Ok, too late in the season. How about one of the big music fests. Or, since it's an election year, maybe you could send separate teams to follow 2 candidates?

Whatever you do, have fun!

I think he probably means that he's not proficient in MC and will thus fail, not that MC is defective or bad in any way.

Man, do I always need to point at my sarcasm.
hendosan has it right.

I would fail badly in MC. Not MC would fail me.

On the other hand that is a compliment for FCPX, because I never really had a doubt last year that FCPX, despite being so fresh, would not be overwhelming me with strange features and behaviors . The only problem we had was insufficient hardware (a Macbook from 2008 with 4 GB RAM was simply not strong enough).
