I'm very new to this software, but it seems there SHOULD be an easy solution to this:
In order to start playing around with the footage i shot with a HMC150 i transferred the contents of my backup portable harddrive to the C-drive on my computer. I knew fill well that it would not stay there, but while i was waiting for a second hard drive to arrivei wanted to see what i had. i actually ended up generating a very useful timeline with all the clips labled and trimmed. Then the new hard drive arrived and i copied the entire file structure of my original footage to it. Master folder is project name JOURNEY, followed by separate folders for each day of shooting within which were folders for each SD card used and then the PRIVATE folders and on down the line as generated by AVCHD.
Is there a way to tell premiere that everything is exactly the same except the location of the master folder, or do i have to manually go in and relink each clip to its new location on the other drive?
if this isnt easy, it should be, right?
thanks.
