When I record live events I usually never worry about release forms from the audiance since it's usually a given that if you are there and the program is being filmed by the someone commisioned to do so then yeah, you could potentially be published in marketing materials, etc.
I'm about to begin a project where I will be recording a few sexual education workshops for high school teens. The purpose of the recording is to eventually use in some promo videos. Since we are talking under 18 in most cases, does the producer (which will probably be myself) need to obtain permission from parents? If so, there is easily going to be a few hundred students which would be a logistical nightmare since we don't know who will make it into the final edit. Any advise on how to approach this? Even though it probably won't be an issue in the end, I don't want to put my client at risk.
