Release forms. Do you always get them?

Is it a good idea to always get release forms, even when it is a small project that is only going on youtube or vimeo?

Absolutely. You never know how you might want to re-task or re-use the stuff you shot. And the release should give you full rights to do anything you want with it. To make it binding, I suggest you provide at least a nominal payment. A release form is essentially a contract, and contracts aren't valid unless both parties have received some benefit.
