Relay Lenses for JVC HM700...

I've been researching adapter options for the HM700, but now I'm turning to the 35mm adapter experts at DVXUser for some input...

Anybody have any hands on experience with this Letus relay lens on the JVC HM700?

Are there any other relays available? This is all I could find so far.

I'm also wondering if this relay could be used in conjunction with the RedRock M2 Encore. I like the idea of a spinning adapter, but the Letus Ultimate is so much more expensive than the RR M2-E.

Letus relay + RR M2E bundle with rails = $4700
Letus relay + Letus Ultimate (not including rails) = $6700

Any other lens adapter suggestions for the HM700 are also welcome...

There's the Mini-35 but that's in another league of prices.

The Letus would not most likely not work with the M2E. The whole point of a relay lens is that it's very precisely engineered optic optimized for a particular adapter, that way you get maximum edge to edge sharpness, CA and so forth. So the Letus would be optimized for the Letus line of adapters, not so much for the M2E.

That's a very good point.

We haven't bought the camera yet, but we're looking to purchase a pair of HM700's and set one of them up with a 35mm adapter package. But the thought of mounting a lens adapter to the front of the stock lens isn't very attractive to me. It seems to me you'd end up with a pretty long and cumbersome rig.

There's always JVC's PL adapter, I suppose. But I'm not too keen on the 16mm DoF. And that would also require us to purchase PL lenses, when we already have some Nikon's available.

So it appears for the HM700 the best option is Letus relay and Letus Ultimate?
Decisions, decisions...
